Community Engagement Inclusive Economic Development Education & Training Disaster Preparedness
It’s often accepted in community engagement practice that “face-to-face” is the best and the most meaningful form of community engagement, with digital engagement being nothing more than a mere support act.
But what happens when face-to-face is simply no longer viable. Perhaps the distances are too great; the issues too controversial to send a team into the field; the budget too small, your audience is too fragmented or in a worse case scenario a world wide pandemic that limits face-to-face interactions. How useful then is the opportunity for the services offered by Pender United?
In times like these digital communication is needed and welcomed.
Below are just a few methods Pender United will use to interact with the citizens of our communities.
Community Discussions: Pender United will be conducting Video Digital Community Discussions to facilitate conversation about topics of concern with-in local neighborhoods and the communities that connect and affect them.
Social Network: Get Connected is Pender United's very own social network designed specifically to help us find people with like experiences to share, compare, assist, communicate, support and connect for growth.
Newsletters: The PU Newsletter is a monthly publication designed to educate and inform citizens of our communities.
Online Survey's: Surveys help us all know the concerns of the citizens in our communities.
Online Information Webinars: One on One interviews with agencies and persons of interest about topics that affect the lives of local citizens.
